Zak - Guitar and Vocals

Although not actually a Clampett, but a distant cousin of Jed himself, Zak taught himself to play guitar in the backwoods of Michigans Upper Penninsula. He started his first gigging band in the early 90’s called Cement Pond, which toured the northern Michigan club scene for more than 5 years, spanning 3 different drummers, 2 bassists, and placing 3rd in the Tumble Inn International battle of the bands. Cement Pond opened for such national acts as Slaughter, Bullet Boys, Tough, and Grind.

In 2001, the kin folks said Zak, move away from here, so he loaded up the Strat and moved to Detroit City where he formed Mad Carousel. Although short lived, the band was able to perform at many of the Detroit areas top clubs and secured a solid following.

After the demise of Mad Carousel, Zak went on to play in an original project called Courtesy Stitch, playing such venues as The Emerald Theater and Machine Shop and opening for Vince Neil.

“While original music can be very self satisfying, I'm looking forward to
going back to the partying, and general entertaining atmosphere and
diversity of Cruizin' Jupiter.  Who knows maybe I can try to work in some
of my originals for an interesting twist.”

Zak is a seasoned musician and is a great addition to Cruizin’ Jupiter. His versatility and professional mannerism on and off stage are nothing short of electrifying!
